Carl Rowlinson

Carl Rowlinson

Plant One Co-Founder

Carl is the co-founder of Plant One CIC. In 2019, Carl got so weighed down by climate change, so overwhelmed by the shear weight of the scale of it. Not knowing what to do, he planted a tree. Having worked as an arborist for many years he has a working knowledge of trees, so planting that tree in that field was his obvious simple action against climate change, but it began a push back that has been going for 7 years now.

After planting that tree, taking that one simple small step he started Plant One CIC alongside Co-founder Rai Lewis. To date we have planted over 14,000 trees almost 35 football pitches of woodland restored.
