It all began when Cornish surfer Nigel Semmens (18-year old English Junior Champion at the time), took a surf trip to Hawaii. After realising, his board didn’t cut the mustard competitively, Nigel learnt how to shape at the Ocean Magic factory under the guidance of Pete McAllum. After 2 years, Nigel took over the factory and launched his own NS Surfboards brand, producing progressive, high performance shapes. After a successful pro career, 50 years and thousands of awesome boards later, Ocean Magic is established as Britain’s premier surfboard factory, with Nigel and his team of local craftsmen shaping cutting edge boards for the UK’s most passionate surfers. Ocean Magic is also the only UK factory trusted by Pyzel and Aipa to make all their boards for the UK market, sold in surf shops all over the country.
